Position Summary:

We are now looking for an Instrumentation Technician at Nestle Zimbabwe Factory.
As an Instrumentation and control technician at Nestle Zimbabwe Factory, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities within the factory. Your expertise will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime, maximizing productivity, and ensuring a safe working environment for all employees
Duties and Responsibilities
A day in the life of a Instrument Technician:
Carry out the planned maintenance required on plant.
Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
Conduct calibration of all factory instruments.
Identify and troubleshoot instrumentation, electrical, and automation issues, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
Collaborate with other departments to schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize disruption to production.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history.
Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Assist in the installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
Provide technical support and guidance to production staff regarding equipment operation and maintenance.
Proficiency in PLC Programming (Rockwell Automation; RS Logix 5000 and Studio 5000)
Proficiency in VFD Configuration (Rockwell Automation; Powerflex 525 and 755)
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in maintenance
Qualifications and Experience
What will make you successful?
National diploma or equivalent.
Class one Instrumentation and Control Systems Journeyman Card
Proven experience as an Instrumentation and control technician in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and diagrams.
Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and techniques.
Understanding safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
