Job Description
Zimbabwe Motor Investments invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill in the following vacancy:
Purpose of the position
To provide independent assurance and consultative services that assist in the establishment, development and evaluation of the organisation's internal controls in financial reporting, compliance, risk management and business operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Job
The successful candidate will, among other key challenges, be responsible for: -
Undertaking internal audits to ensure financial, operational and compliance objectives are attained
Supporting the development of an assurance planning reporting process
Reporting on control deficiencies and making recommendations to mitigate risk and add value
Analyzing current processes and identifying opportunities for improvement
Ensuring the maintenance and review of policies and procedures so that they are in alignment with current legislation and best practices
Assisting in the risk management process
Qualifications and Experience
The Person
- The ideal incumbent should possess the following minimum qualifications and attributes: -
- Degree in Audit and Risk Management or similar relevant qualifications
- An IIA qualification or studying towards one Articled clerks will have a distinct advantage
- Three years working experience in the audit field for a reputable organisation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to think objectively
- Sharp analytical skills
