Job Description

The National Railways of Zimbabwe seeks to engage the services of an Investments Manager - Property. The incumbent shall be responsible for spearheading the Real Estate development activities of the organisation ensuring that it derives maximum value from its various properties.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key responsibilities:-
1 . Spearheading the development of the NRZ Real Estate portfolio.
2. Formulating sound policies and strategies for property management within the confines of the Railways' overall policy framework and international Real Estates Management Standards.
3. Effectively managing the Organisation's Real Estate Portfolio system wide and implementing policies, processes and procedures in line with market conditions.
4. Co-ordinating and monitoring Regional Property Managers' activities by directing all aspects of property management to maximise investment return.
5. Providing an advisory service to the Organisation on Real Estate matters.
6. Negotiating, drawing up and managing contracts.
7. Developing and maintaining (on a continuous basis) a strategic resource acquisition, allocation and/or utilisation plan for the Division. Applicants for the post must have:-

Qualifications and Experience

a) A University degree in Real Estate Management, Property Development and Estate Management or Rural and Urban Planning.
b) At least 10 years' experience in Real Estate development and management of which 5 years must be in a senior role.
c) Associate membership of the Real Estate Institute of Zimbabwe.
d) Extensive experience in all facets of acquisition, development, and administration of Real estate properties. Skills to include land and building acquisitions and disposals, commercial leasing, industrial warehouse leasing, sub-leasing, sale and lease back and license agreements.
c) A valid Class 4 Zimbabwe Driver's Licence.
A strong background in contract negotiations, planning, tracking, evaluating and reporting on the performance of assigned activities.
g) Be a results oriented, reliable and self- motivated individual with interpersonal, organisational skills.
NB: Possession of a post graduate qualification such as a Master's in Business Administration, Real Estate Management or Investment Management will be an added advantage.
