INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR HYDROGEOLOGICAL SURVEY, MUD BOREHOLE
DRILLING AND YIELD CAPACITY TESTING
World Vision Zimbabwe invites sealed bids from reputable, experienced, and
suitably qualified drilling contractors to undertake the hydrogeological survey, mud
borehole drilling, development, and yield capacity testing of two (2) boreholes
under the UNICEF GPE Project in Mbire District, Zimbabwe.
The successful bidder will be required to conduct hydrogeological investigations to
identify suitable drilling locations, drill two boreholes using the mud drilling method,
carry out borehole development and pumping tests, and submit detailed technical
reports for each borehole.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assignment Objective
The successful bidder will be required to:
 Conduct a hydrogeological survey for two (2) proposed borehole sites in
Mbire District.
 Undertake mud borehole drilling at the identified sites.
 Carry out borehole development and yield capacity testing.
 Submit comprehensive technical reports for the survey and drilling works.
The boreholes are intended for solar-powered mechanized water supply systems.
The minimum required sustainable boreholes yields is 1 litre per second (1 L/s). Any
borehole that produces a tested yield below 1 L/s during the capacity testing phase
shall be deemed a dry hole and will not be considered compliant with the project
requirements.

Prospective bidders requiring clarification on any aspect of this tender may submit
their enquiries in writing to wvzprocurement-harare@wvi.org no later than 12 October
2026. World Vision Zimbabwe will respond to all clarification requests received within
the stipulated timeframe in accordance with its procurement procedures.
Closing Date and Time : Tender submissions must be received no later than 1200
Hours (Zimbabwe Time) on Wednesday, 14 October 2026. Late submissions will not
be considered
