Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Intern to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will gain practical experience in food preparation, kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards while working alongside experienced chefs. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop culinary skills, learn industry best practices, and build a strong foundation for a career in the hospitality and food service industry. Duties and Responsibilities
• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
• Support chefs and kitchen staff in meal preparation and cooking activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies and ingredients.
• Occasionally taking food orders and serve patients and staff.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of food products to prevent waste and contamination.
• Participate in kitchen opening and closing duties as assigned.
• Dispose of waste appropriately and maintain a clean working environment.
• Perform other kitchen-related duties and tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications and Experience
• At least 5 O' Level passes, including English Language.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and food hygiene practices.
• Strong willingness to learn and develop culinary skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods.
