Job Description
The Legal Officer works closely with the General Counsel on all legal matters relating to the Agency’s functions.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Research on key legal principles relating to the agency’s functions
• Comparative analysis with other Jurisdictions on various legal frameworks that relate to the Agency
• Research on ongoing projects within ZIDA that require legal input
• Drafting of position papers and legal opinion on relevant topical issues that relate to investment matters
• Drafting legal interpretation on new legislation and assessing the impact on ZIDA and investors
• Drafting and reviewing agreements
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree
• Exposure to investment Law is essential
• Masters degree in International Law is an added advantage
