Community Organization for Poverty Alleviation in Zimbabwe (COPAZ), a local Private Voluntary
Organization is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Logistics and Procurement Officer
pending confirmation of funding.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Management: Oversee sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and
purchase order processing to ensure cost-effective procurement and quality compliance.
Logistics Coordination: Plan, schedule, and execute transportation, warehousing, and
distribution activities to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, manage reorder points.
Supplier and Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers, manufacturers,
transportation providers, and internal teams such as programs and finance to align procurement
and logistics strategies.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for efficiency, implement innovative procurement
strategies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal
policies, and quality standards, including audits and supplier evaluations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related
fields.
Certifications (optional but preferred): CPM, APICS, PMP, IAT, or other supply
chain/procurement certifications.
Experience: Prior experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management, with an
exposure to NGO environment is an added advantage.
