Jointed Hands Welfare Organisation(JHWO) is a local NGO that envisions a harm and disease free society. JHWO is looking for a skilled, passionate and committed professional to fill in the vacancy which has arisen under the Pathways project. Pathways project is a child centred, family focused and community package intervention. The aim of the project is to use economic strengthening, local ownership and gender transformation to strengthen the capacity of HIV affected individuals households and communities to progress along Pathways out of poverty, along functional services referral Pathways, along continuum of care Pathways to reach the 95-95-95 targets, and along age and stage appropriate Pathways. The Pathways project also aims to promote positive child, adolescent and youth health, well-being and development. Duties and Responsibilities


The MEAL Officer manages information, reporting processes and products to ensure professional, high quality communication about Pathways project programmatic activities; Provides guidance in monitoring and reporting of Pathways HIV/AIDS activities (HIV Testing and Counselling, referral and linkage, HIV treatment, adherence, viral load monitoring etc) undertaken by implementing partners of the program in collaboration with the Health Facilities; The Officer will play an important role in improving information management and data quality, will work closely with the Strategic & Information Manager (SIM) for efficient and timely submission of reports from all project sites; She / He will ensure that an appropriate filing system of data and reports is maintained at the district office; She / He will work closely with Programs Officers on Design, Research, Monitoring, Evaluation and reporting; The post will involve traveling to field sites to conduct on site data verifications.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and experience
Bachelor degree (preferred) in Monitoring and Evaluation, Information Systems, Statistics, or equivalent; Experience with a formal qualification of monitoring and evaluation, minimum of at least three (3) years of experience in design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation and research; Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word processing, Database management ,OVC MIS, POMIS, SPSS,DHIS, NVivo, STATA, or other statistical packages; Familiarity with USAID regulations is desired; Good relationship management skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary and multicultural teams; Good analytical, translation and packaging skills; Diligence, accuracy, and timeliness in executing assigned responsibilities; Initiative-taking and results oriented.
