Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above vacancy that has arisen within First Mutual Health Services.
The Job
Reporting to the Head of Medical Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Duties and Responsibilities
• Providing outpatient medical consultations for patients of all ages
• Diagnosing, treating and managing common acute and chronic illnesses
• Prescribing medications rationally according to essential medicines lists and treatment guidelines
• Identifying conditions requiring higher-level care and refer appropriately
• Working collaboratively with nurses and clinical officers
• Maintaining accurate and complete patient medical records
• Practicing in accordance with medical ethics, professional standards and national health laws
• Ensuring patient confidentiality, informed consent
Qualifications and Experience
The Person
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
• MBChB
• Valid practicing certificate
• Experience in primary health care
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Good organisational skills
