Established in 1987, Population Services Zimbabwe (PSZ) an affiliate of MSI Reproductive Choices (MSI), is one of the largest
organisations in Zimbabwe focusing on providing quality sexual and reproductive health (SRH)/ family planning services. In its
service provision, PSZ compliments the Ministry of Health and Child Care and collaborates with other stakeholders to provide
modern and affordable products and services through various service delivery channels which include

The Role
The incumbent will be responsible for, among other duties, assessing clients’ reproductive health needs; counselling clients and
providing advice on family planning, sexually transmitted infections, and general sexual and reproductive health services. The
role also involves practicing high standards of infection prevention at all times, ensuring that clinic protocols are maintained, and
maintaining accurate and confidential client records. In addition, the incumbent will participate in stock management and report
writing, assist in generating additional clients, retaining existing clients, and cross-selling PSZ services. The incumbent will also
contribute towards ensuring that the Centre operates sustainably and generates sufficient income in a cost-effective manner to
support its day-to-day operations and long-term viability. The role further includes carrying out any other duties as may reasonably
be assigned from time to time.
Key responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for the following, among other duties:
Providing family planning services and performing procedures including Post Abortion Care (PAC), IUCD insertion and
removal, and implant insertion/removal within the Static Clinic Programme of Population Services Zimbabwe in the
region.
Ensuring that clinical standards are adhered to and that quality service delivery is maintained, particularly in the
provision of Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARCs).
Representing PSZ at provincial and district stakeholder meetings.
Augmenting service provision in primary health care, family planning, and other Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
services.
Counselling clients and providing advice on various family planning methods to enable clients to make informed
decisions.
Liaising with the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MoHCC), Zimbabwe National Family Planning Council (ZNFPC),
and other key stakeholders in the provision of family planning and other reproductive health services in the region.
Conducting and facilitating clinical audits within the region.
Coordinating with the Marketing and Communications Department on all marketing and client mobilization activities.
Contributing towards centre sustainability through the provision of high-quality, client-centred services that promote
client satisfaction, retention, and increased uptake of PSZ services.
Supporting income generation initiatives and ensuring cost-effective service delivery to enhance the long-term
sustainability of the Centre.
Essentials
Demonstrated experience in the development and delivery of nursing skills training, both individually and in team
settings. Passionate about client service and committed to delivering professional support to clients.
Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet
deadlines.
Resilient, adaptable, and flexible in responding to changing work demands and environments.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with managers and
stakeholders across varying levels of capability.
About You
To succeed in this role, you must have:
Diploma in Registered General Nursing/Midwifery/Community Nursing/
Forensic License (M.C.A.Z)
Family Planning Certificate, LARCs training and experience, PAC and CAC will be most desired
Current Practicing Certificate from the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe is a requirement
At least 5 years’ working experience of which 2 years must be in a supervisory role.
Experience working in the private health sector will be a distinct advantage.
Must be computer literate and have excellent report writing and presentation skills
Experience working in the at a Premium Private Sector and in a high volume site will be an added advantage
