Job Description
We seek to engage a qualified, experienced and results driven Operations Manager who will effectively lead one of our operations in Bulawayo with a focus on improving its efficiency and viability.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Managing all activities to do with the production of goods in the operation.
2. Managing the entire operations process – from materials availability to sales of the finished products.
3. Embracing design and ensuring continuous improvement for better product quality and improved output.
4. Planning of all works as requested by all stakeholders.
5. Controlling costs, raw materials, human resources and asset management under the section to keep them with them within control. For competitiveness of the final product
6. Analysing and improving operational processes and work to improve quality, productivity and efficiency
7. Driving the set strategy to achieve the set goals as per the broader organisational vision.
8. Designing, managing and improving the operations system for better delivery.
9. Identifying and addressing problems and opportunities for the company
Qualifications and Experience
1. Engineering diploma/degree in a mechanical field
2. A qualification in the commercials field would be a distinct advantage (preferably Marketing or Business Administration)
3. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment; 2 of which should be at management level
4. Knowledge of general business software and aptitude to learn new applications; proficiency in Microsoft office(Word, Excel, and Outlook)
5. Good communication skills
6. Good ethical and moral values
7. Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
