Bachelor Of Commerce Honours Degree In Accounting / Bachelor Of Commerce Special Honours Degree In Accounting (31 Posts- Harare, Bulawayo And Masvingo Cohorts)

Applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent and a relevant first degree with at least 2.1-degree classification, candidates with relevant doctoral degrees or progressing towards one are preferred. Membership of an accounting professional body would be an added advantage. Successful applicants must have professional experience in industry and teaching experience at tertiary and university level. Holders of the Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education are preferred. Applicants must indicate at least two (2) modules that they are able to teach from the following list of modules: Commercial Law, Financial Accounting 1A, Business Communication and Information Technology, Financial Accounting 1B, Quantitative Analysis for Business, Audit Skills, Financial Accounting 11A, Company Law, Corporate Finance, Management and Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting 11B, Audit Process, Taxation, Practical Accounting Data Processing (applicant must be a certified accounting package user/ trainer), Business Research Methods, Corporate Governance and Ethics, Theory and Practice, Financial Reporting, Investment Analysis and Portfolio Management, Strategic Management Accounting, Advanced Financial Accounting, Financial Management, Advanced Auditing, Advanced Taxation, Research Methods, Auditing in a Computerised Environment and Group Financial Accounting.

1.3.2 MASTER OF COMMERCE DEGREE IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS (9 POSTS-HARARE AND MASVINGO COHORT)

Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or equivalent and a Master’s Degree in Information Systems/ Computer Science or equivalent and a relevant first degree with at least a 2.1-degree classification. Successful applicants must have teaching experience at tertiary or university level. Holders of the Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education are preferred. Applicants must indicate at least two (2) modules that they are able to teach from the following list of modules: Information Systems Governance and Ethics, Software Engineering, Computer Security, Advanced Data Communication and Networking, Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems, Digital Economy, Microprocessors and Operating Systems, Strategic Management, Advanced Database Management Systems and Applied Research Methods.

1.3.3 BACHELOR OF COMMERCE HONOURS DEGREE IN INFORMATION SYSTEMS/ BACHELOR OF COMMERCE HONOURS DEGREE IN ELECTRONIC COMMERCE (23 POSTS- HARARE AND MASVINGO COHORT)

Applicants must hold at least a Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or equivalent and a relevant first degree with at least a 2.1-degree classification, candidates with relevant doctoral degrees or progressing towards one are preferred. Successful applicants must have teaching experience at tertiary and university level. Holders of the Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education are preferred. Applicants must indicate at least two (2) modules that they are able to teach from the following list of modules: Principles of Programming Languages, Foundations of Information Systems, Computer Architecture and Organisation, Structures and Algorithms, Applied Statistics, Software Engineering, Ethics and Professionalism, Visual Programming, Business Management, Object Oriented Programming, Web Technologies, Database Design Concepts, Data Communications and Computer Networks, System Analysis and Design, Cloud Computing, Project Management, Research Methods, Group Project, Linux Administration, Information Technology Governance, Mobile Programming, Human Computer Interaction, Data Mining and Analysis for Business Applications, Computer Graphics, Management Information Systems, Simulation and Modelling, Distributed Systems, Server Administration, Artificial Intelligence, Information Security, Information Systems Audit and Control and Mobile Programming.
