The following vacancy has arisen at a leading Panel Beating Company in Harare.The role will be suitable for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the following among other duties:
1. Coordinating production teams in the workshop to make sure processes are completed in a timely and economical manner.
2. Develop production schedules to meet timelines
3. Determine material, equipment and labour requirements
4. Prepare production status and performance reports for Management and suggests ways to improve efficiency
5. Identify and resolve production issues and any other problems relating to inventory.
6. Monitor and control production workflow
7. Optimize production scheduling to avoid idle time in the workshop
8. Balance production needs with the available resources in the most cost-effective manner.
9. Ensure there is effective handover-takeover of vehicles from one section to another
10. Control Inventory of spares and materials in liaison with Stores
11. Monitor material supply flow and identify any shortages or bottlenecks in usage
12. Evaluate supplies or quality, timeliness and match according to company goals
13. Dispatching inspection of every vehicle before it leaves the workshop
14. Account for Everyone and Everything in the workshop
15. Any other duties as assigned by Superiors
Qualifications and Experience
• A Bachelor's degree in an Engineering related field
• Bachelor or Diploma in Business Management an added advantage
• At least 2 years working experience in Production planning field
• Experience with any production scheduling/planning software
• Clean Class 4 driver’s licence
