Job Grade: D3 – Reporting to: Deputy Director Finance and Administration
Job Purpose: The job holder will be charged with the responsibility of providing a range of high-quality financial, administration and human resource services at Provincial Office.
Responsibilities and Duties
1. Review travelling and subsistence claim forms, appropriation of expenditure and compile advance claim vouchers.
2. Reconcile accounts receivables and payables and initiate recoveries where necessary.
3. Compile provincial requirements, generate stores purchase requisitions, receive and issue assets and consumables.
4. Initiate payments on Internet Banking platform and data capturing in accounting software.
5. Maintain assets and inventory registers and vehicle log sheets.
6. Attend to equipment faults, breakdowns and general housekeeping.
7. Assist in recruitment and appointment of contract workers and maintain provincial employee personal files
8. Supervising office assistant.
9. Attending to employee queries and grievances.
10. Processing of all types of leave
11. Produce monthly human resources returns and registers
12. Inspect training/workshop venues, arrange logistics, maintain attendance registers.
Qualifications, experience, attributes and competences
1. Degree in Accounting or equivalent
2. Professional qualification in accounting is an added advantage.
3. At least 2 years relevant working experience.
4. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Highly organized with keen attention to detail.
7. Computer literacy
