JOB VACANCY: RECOVERIES OFFICER

Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and monitor an assigned loan portfolio and arrears.
* Conduct follow-ups, field visits and other lawful debt-recovery activities.
* Trace defaulting borrowers and guarantors and negotiate repayment arrangements.
* Develop and implement recovery strategies for delinquent and non-performing loans.
* Monitor and facilitate recovery of pledged/secured assets where applicable.
* Maintain accurate loan and recovery records.
* Prepare regular recovery and portfolio performance reports.
* Meet and exceed monthly recovery targets.
* Escalate appropriate matters for legal recovery and enforcement.
Qualifications and Experience
Requirements
* Proven experience in loan recoveries, debt collections or microfinance.
* Demonstrable and verifiable track record of successful debt recovery.
* Experience managing a loan book and reducing arrears/NPLs.
* Strong negotiation, communication and fieldwork skills.
* Knowledge of lending and debt-recovery procedures.
* Ability to work independently and under recovery targets.
* Knowledge of legal debt-recovery processes is an added advantage.
