Job Description
The Zimbabwe Media Commission is inviting suitably qualified candidates to fill the following positions that have arisen at the Commission.
JOB TITLE: REGIONAL MANAGER X2
GRADE: D3
REPORTS TO: CHIEF DIRECTOR
STATION: MUTARE AND BULAWAYO
Duties and Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate administrative and operational support to the overall implementation process of Zimbabwe Media Commission programmes in the region.
• Facilitate production of annual provincial budgets for Commission activities.
• Co-ordinate with potential partners for the implementation of Commission activities and programmes.
• Review of applications by Media Practitioners for accreditation and registration of mass media services.
• Plan and coordinate engagements between the Commission and its stakeholders.
• Facilitate training and capacity building programmes for media practitioners.
• Receive and transmit complaints to Head Office for actioning.
• Represent the Commission in all Provincial programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES:
• A degree in Media Studies or any other relevant qualification.
• A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
• Excellent analytical skills coupled with good computer skills.
• Ability to converse in local languages.
• Should have ability to organize events and exhibitions.
• Ability to design and execute regional road maps to deploy AI solutions across operations.
• At least five years’ experience in a supervisory role.
