Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a self starter who is ready to work and does not require much supervision. The candidate must be hands on and have more knowledge and experience in the field. The role will support the SHEQ function across company operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist in developing, implementing and monitoring SHEQ policies, procedures and systems.
2. Conduct workplace safety inspections, audits and risk assessments.
3. Support incident and accident investigations, record keeping and reporting.
4. Facilitate SHEQ training, inductions and awareness campaigns for staff.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards and client requirements.
6. Maintain SHEQ records, statistics and documentation.
7. Promote a safety culture and environmental best practices across all operations.
8. Assist the SHEQ team with day to day activities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. A degree or diploma in Safety Health Environment Quality, Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
2. At least one year of work attachment or internship experience in a formalised organisation.
3. Experience in industry sector or a motor vehicle maintenance workshop will be an advantage.
4. Good understanding of SHEQ principles and workplace safety standards.
5. Ability to work independently and take initiative.
