We are seeking a dedicated, proactive, and detail-oriented SHEQ Officer to join our organisation. Reporting to the Human Capital Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining integrated Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality management systems to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and a safe working environment.
• Develop, implement, and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures, and systems in line with regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, environmental audits, risk assessments, and quality compliance checks.
• Identify hazards and environmental aspects, assess risks and impacts, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, non-conformances, and near misses; implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, environmental, and quality legislation and standards.
• Maintain accurate SHEQ records, including incident reports, audit findings, environmental data, training records, and quality documentation.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits (including ISO-related audits where applicable).
• Develop and deliver SHEQ training and awareness programs to employees.
• Oversee environmental management initiatives such as waste management, pollution control, and sustainability practices.
• Monitor quality management systems and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate safety committee meetings, prepare reports, and follow up on action items.
• Plan and conduct emergency response drills and ensure preparedness for environmental and safety incidents.
• Prepare SHEQ performance reports and analyze statistical data to identify trends and improvement areas.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Health and Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Quality Management, or an equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a SHEQ or related role.
• Five (5) Ordinary Level passes, including English Language and Mathematics.
