The Shift Coordinator shall be responsible for the following:

Key Accountabilities:
The Shift Coordinator shall be responsible for the following:
• Ensuring there is a production schedule in place to guide operations.
• Ensuring that breakdowns are reported and rectified in time
• Ensuring that quality assurance processes are strictly adhered to
• Ensuring that there is no materials wastage during production
• Conducting analysis of production trends of Dry Mortar products.
• Monitoring initiating and prioritising re-order of raw and packaging material and production.
• Devising and reviewing specifications for products and operational SOPs
• Setting requirements for raw material or intermediate products for suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
• Ensuring adherence to ISO 14001 environment standards through training and awareness programs.
• Ensuring compliance to Lafarge SHE standards and procedures.
• Identifying training needs and requirements to address performance gaps.
• Keeping abreast of local and regional developments in the industry.
• Ensuring that all subordinates Comply with all health, safety and environmental standards, guidelines and Instructions.
• Evaluation of value stream and eliminating waste activities.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications:
• Shift Coordinator should have the following qualifications:
• Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Technology or equivalent
• Three years' experience in production and/or maintenance functions in a production environment.
Key Competencies:
Shift Coordinator should also possess the following:
• In depth knowledge of the process of Cement and dry mortars manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of production equipment practices and processes.
• Good knowledge of product quality management systems, parameters and of quality control tests.
• Knowledge of production management and planning
• Good attention to detail.
