About
Grassroot Soccer Zimbabwe (GRS) is a Zimbabwean adolescent health organization that uses the power of soccer to educate, inspire, and mobilize young people to live healthier lives and be agents for change in their communities. Founded in Zimbabwe in 2002 as a PVO 22/11, GRS has a 100% local board and Zimbabwean staff, reaching over 33,000 adolescents and young adults annually with evidence-based, youth-centered programs. GRS brings deep experience in youth sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), combination HIV prevention, positive youth development (PYD), GBV prevention and response, gender norms, and community mobilization. As a national-scale organization, GRS currently directly delivers programs in Bulawayo, Harare, Manicaland, Matabeleland North, and Matabeleland South and employs a technical assistance model (training, implementation support, and RM&E) to support local CBOs / IPs to deliver its programs outside of GRS focus provinces.

Duties and Responsibilities

Position summary
The Social and Mental Wellness Coordinator will support GRS Zimbabwe in implementing and coordinating the Mental Health, Wellness and Pyscho-Social Support (PSS) specialized services interventions. In particular, s/he will have a key role in planning, design, implementation, delivery and evaluation of comprehensive institutional wellness and support system and will also play a key role in providing support to all GRS programmes by liaising with clinical and service delivery partners, e.g clinics, SGBV and service delivery partners for referral and follow up and actively seek synergies with other components of the programme.

The Coordinator will be expected to: Actively contribute to the creation and implementation of including PSS under the Mental Health Strategy to meet the needs of the adolescents, staff and the coaches; Lead the assessments to inform the program priorities around Mental Health; Coordinate linkages to Care and Treatment for HIV Positive clients and other medical and social services; Coordinate the process by which the organization identifies and refers cases for psychosocial support; Support proper use of monitoring and evaluation tools and systems including (feedback mechanisms) and provide input on to track indicators to measure progress and monthly reporting; Maintain a filing and tracking system for all cases that have been referred; Provide PSS services as and when needed.

Qualifications
The Coordinator must have a Degree in Social Work plus 3+ years’ experience working in international development and in providing PSS services. S/he must have excellent planning, organizing skills, interpersonal skills, and emotional intelligence skills to promote relations with diverse groups of people and must be Fluent in English, Ndebele and Shona.
