Job Description

One of our clients is looking for a Brand Manager to join their team.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates strategic plan for the marketing and
communication for each Strategic Business Unit.
2. Develops and reviews corporate identity manuals and act as Brand Custodian and ensures that all marketing and advertising are done within parameters of branding standards and corporate identity manual and budget.
3. Ensures articulation of organisation’s desired image and position, assures consistent communication of image and position throughout the group, and assure communication of image and position to all stakeholders.
4. Conducts market research, competitive analysis, facilitates strategic market plan execution based on market intelligence.
5. Identifies, develops and evaluates new and innovative ways for local and regional markets penetration to increase and grow market share so that the organisation continues to grow as a dynamic and profitable organisation.
6. Identifies and recommends opportunities and builds relationships with strategic business
partners.
7. Identifies and recommend key marketing suppliers, such as, advertising and media agencies, corporate wear, branding etc; in consultation with the relevant departments and the Superior.
8. Manages and coordinates the appearance of digital presence, electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, print and ensures up to date digital content.
9. Organises, coordinates and represents the organisation at corporate functions and social events.
10. Co-ordinates and works with production and projects department to champion new product and market development.
11. Manages the editorial direction, design, production and distribution of all organisation
publications.
12. Develops short and long term plans and budgets for the marketing/communications program and its activities, monitor progress, assure adherence and evaluate performance.
13. Develops and implements an integrated and sustainable corporate social investment policy and programme in consultation with the relevant Departments and the Superior.
14. Recommend the Department organogram, recruit ,set and monitor the performance targets, goals and measures for the subordinates in consultation with the relevant Departments and the Superior.
15. Performs any other duties assigned by the Superior.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bsc Marketing/ Business Management.
2. MBA/MBL/ MSC Marketing and Strategic Management or any professional qualification is an added advantage.
3. 5 years at Management level.
4. Professional groups/ memberships that the job incumbent should join: Chartered Institute of Marketing, Institute of Marketing Management.
5. Must have excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
6. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
7. Must have good negotiation skills.
8. Must have critical thinking skills.
9. Must have good IT skills.
10. Must be creative and innovative.
11. Must have good numerical ability skills.
12. Must have proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to
completion.

14. Must have demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff.
15. Must have demonstrated independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy,

16. Must have the ability to make effective presentations to diverse groups.
17. Must have the ability to perform financial calculations and create and manage budgets.
