Job Description
Freda Rebecca Gold Mine has vacancies for Diesel Plant Fitters (DPFs) who will be reporting to the Mobile Plant Foreman in the Underground Engineering Department.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Performing ovehauls, diagnostics and repairs on Underground and Surface Mining Mobile Equipment.
• Adherence to scheduled maintenance, inspections and service on all hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Installing and testing of new hydraulic and mechanical components.
• Troubleshooting, repairing and replacing faulty hydraulic systems and hydraulic components.
• Ability to read Hydraulic schematic diagrams.
• Ensuring overall effectiveness of Heavy Mobile Equipment (HMEs).
• Completing workorders and checklists.
• Spontaneous response to breakdowns on both surface and underground.
Qualifications and Experience
• Class 1 Diesel Plant Fitter.
• National certificate in Diesel Plant Fitting.
• Apprenticeship training is an added advantage.
• At least 3 years experience in Underground Mining industry.
• Experience with Sandvik LH514 loaders, DD210, DL430, Epiroc ROC L8, Shantui and CAT FELs.
• Should have sound knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018.
