Job Description
Unki Mines (Private) Limited, invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following vacancy which has arisen in the Safety Health Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Department:
Environmental Coordinator
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The role is responsible for implementation of environmental management systems of the business and to ensure compliance to company policies and procedures and applicable legislation.
Duties and Responsibilities
MAJOR OUTPUTS
• Ensuring appropriate environmental management systems are in place and certified.
• Identifying and monitoring compliance to environmental procedures and legal requirements.
• Ensuring all environmental impacts are routinely assessed and addressed.
• Implementing training and awareness programmes.
• Implement and maintain ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
Qualifications and Experience
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Relevant degree in Environmental Science/ Natural Sciences.
• At least 5 years experience at Environmental Officer level or 2 years experience at a similar level in Mining or Mineral Processing Industry.
• Relevant Environmental Short-Course Certificates (such as ISO 14001, Environmental auditing, environmental legislation).
• Computer literacy: MS Office.
• Presentation and facilitation skills.
• Clean Class 4 driver's license.
