Job Description
Are you an ambitious energetic and highly experienced salesperson who wants to progress their career and being rewarded accordingly, working with one of the country’s leading mining and hardware suppliers?
A growing company in Harare which understands the needs of all facets of mining- precious metals, non-precious metals, and industrial requirements, thus providing a wide range of consumables, maintenance and capital products, has a position available for an External Sales Rep.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the sales manager, the salesperson promotes and markets all products for our company to current and new clients, as well as provide backup service. The sales rep assists customers on the correct usage of products by practical demonstration on site. Establish rapport with key personnel through regular follow up visits and telephone calls to ensure customer satisfaction by checking on product performance. Establishes action plans and co-ordinates products tests at customers locations (if required) in conjunction with the Sales Manager, Management team. Writing of various reports. Specific responsibilities include:
Prospecting for new business through various marketing techniques
Developing marketing campaigns and adverts with a view to increasing sales revenue for the company
Analysing the market to identify opportunities arising for the company.
Following up on all referrals and self-generated leads to convert them into sales.
Making sales presentations and proposals to prospective customers.
Representing the company in various marketing arrangements such as exhibitions, shows etc.
Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for the Sales Rep role, you ideally will possess direct experience of selling tools to distributors or end users. In addition, it’s essential that you possess the following:
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Must demonstrate high skills in Sales and Business Development.
Strong customer service experience.
Must have a Clean Class 4 Driver’s License
Ultimately, you could be a great fit for this role if you can prove that you can generate new business and work with existing clients to maximise revenue generated for the business.
