Human Resources Officer: CeSHHAR Zimbabwe

CeSHHAR Zimbabwe is an organization that specializes in sexual health, HIV and AIDS research in Zimbabwe. CeSHHAR in collaboration with the MOHCC and NAC is implementing a National Sex Work Programme aimed at reducing HIV acquisition and transmission among female, male and transgender sex workers thereby reducing HIV transmission and acquisition to and from their clients. Low consistent condom use, risk of drug use and increasing transactional sex are some of the common reasons that put these key populations at risk of acquiring STI and HIV infection. Therefore, reaching these populations and increasing awareness and access to STI & HIV prevention, testing and treatment services are fundamental to reducing transmission of STI and HIV infections.

Duties and Responsibilities

Job description
Under the overall supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Officer will be responsible for the following tasks: Performing human resources Administration duties, staff records maintenance and day to day handling of HR issues; Assisting in the recruitment process, preparation of staff employment contracts, onboarding and separation process such as exit interviews; Assisting in the coordination of performance management, tracking performance appraisals and personal development plans; Assisting in preparation of monthly payroll input, payroll reconciliation, ensuring timely remittances of statutory payments such as ZIMRA, NSSA and NEC; Assisting in advising line managers and staff on employment law, organisation’s policies and procedures; Assisting in administering disciplinary procedures in line with CeSHHAR policies and procedures and national labour laws; Coordinating staff trainings and maintenance of training records; Coordinating staff welfare and wellness programmes.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications
A degree in Human Resources Management or a related field from a reputable and accredited academic institution. Possession of a professional Human Resources certificate such as IPMZ Diploma is a must. At least 3 years relevant experience in a similar role preferably in the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGO) sector. Knowledge of and hands – on experience on Belina Payroll system is essential. Knowledge of labour laws is an added advantage. Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and possession of good interpersonal skills and communication.
