Zimbabwe has gone through a time of extraordinary socio-economic and political changes. Zimbabwe’s economy is stabilizing after economic and currency volatility challenges. Several mines remain under UN and US sanctions, giving rise for a focused need to develop new business to drive our growth ambition in the B2B segment. The country has witnessed growth in Chinese business (Mining, Agriculture & Transport) entrants and the discovery of new commercial mineral resources such as Lithium. Transport and Agriculture also remain good potential growth segments for further development. The market is characterised by poor compliance appetite as coping/ mitigating strategies to market volatilities by way of statutory instruments regulating business and political contexts. Prospection and new business development will unlock the desired growth momentum. Nevertheless, TEMZ aims to be the market leader in lubricants and to grow its bulk fuel sales to General Tarde and Mining customers in a highly competitive environment. The market currently has limited barriers to entry for competition in both Lubricants and Fuels. It is a high supplier growth rate and diminishing margins in pursuit of volumes by many competitors. Customers no longer favour long-term contracts
