Job Description
The position involves designing, managing, and deploying data systems, reports, and dynamic dashboards, as well as training users in these systems and the use of reports. The role will also present analytic findings. This position is responsible for extracting data from multiple sources, manipulating and validating data, and conducting root cause analysis. The position plays an essential role in presenting operational solutions and recommendations to leadership. The individual in this role analyzes complex business operations and develops
business requirements and specifications for the creation of Programs and data systems and Business Intelligence reporting solutions. The role also encompasses revenue assurance will be responsible ensuring financial integrity across all systems. Through analysis and creation of new audits and reports, the role ensures accurate charging to customers for all our systems and optimal costs from vendors
Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrated experience in design, develop and maintain BI reports, optimizing efficiency in manipulating data and writing complex queries.
Ability to handle various data sources, using data modelling work to develop reporting capabilities and valuable insights across these data sources
Work closely with clients and product owners to understand and anticipate their data needs
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Document reporting requirements in detail
Analyze the historical data to forecast and create staffing scenarios for inbound and outbound business functions.
Translate reporting needs into production reports and dashboards
Work across functional lines to strive for and ensure consistent data quality
Conduct continuous review of reports and identify opportunities for improvements with the aim of minimizing redundant reporting and development of single source of truth where possible
Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize data utilizing BI tools
Automate data preparation and report creation where possible
Development of ad-hoc reports as necessary
Provide increased focus on analytics and emphasize on providing valuable insights to drive improvement opportunities
Build understanding of business and operational strategies and identify critical metrics required to support those strategies
Qualifications and Experience
A first degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field
Over 4 years work experience. At least 2 years working in a data analysis or reporting role
Demonstrated experience in design, develop and maintain BI reports, optimizing efficiency in manipulating data and writing complex queries
